Timpel Tim's Tale

After parting from Viper, Tim & Michelle headed off into the night looking for a party. This is their tale …….

Wow dude, I was pretty wasted Monday morning (28-07-03)! As you will know by now me and Michel were not able to make it back to the H.H. to meet you there as we had planned on Sunday...
I found it very annoying for me and you, partly because I couldn’t even reach you by the Lairphone coz I/we lost the number …..... and some other possessions ... a short story:-

Because the ‘partyworm’ in our young blood was on the loose, me and Michel decided to catch a party Sunday-night in Amsterdam. Although, the suggestion of our Australian couple to go ‘sex-shopping’ for a dildo was quiet tempting, we were forced by the ‘party worm’ (as we intend to call it) to split from you and ‘the amazing couple’.

I was quiet sorry about that, because I also really wanted to cruise further through Amsterdam with a fine Englishman named Vern (mean it, I think you are a great guy .…… a ‘must-meet-back-person’ if ya know what i mean).

Anyway, from the place where we split up, (Damstraat on Junkie bridge) we went straight to the Parking where our car was parked. When we (finally) got there, we stood in front of a total secured and above all ‘totally closed’ Parking. We should have seen the BIG sign with the opening hours. If only we weren’t only thinking ‘coffeeshop’ when we arrived in Amsterdam Sunday noon...

Conclusion: we had no place to sleep at all since our car was our last option and we couldn’t get rid of our bags ‘n stuff. After a little improvisation we went into the city to catch the last coffeeshop of the evening. De Dampkring was were we searched for, and De Dampkring is what we found! Scored some great Alegria (10eur/gr – 8,5/10) and had a great chat (in Dutch, can you believe this??!) with the shop-owner... We closed the place around 1.30AM

De Dampkring

After a clean and chill cruise on feet we ended up on Rembrandtplein which was really ‘filled’ with people... Some acrobats made the show, we sat down for some spliffs and trick-watching. Cosy! Time went fast and before we knew it it was 3.00 am. We visited some disco’s, but we never made it into any ‘interior’ cause of the severe high prices! (15-25eur for entrance only. Imagine you want something to drink in there too ! This shit was too expensive, we’d rather bought some extra ‘grams of greens’ with the money! It seemed a good choice afterwards.

Then we arrived at some bar called Biblos, near Rembrandtplein, where a party still was going on ... full throttle! We met some great girls in there and the drinks were going downwards fast! After a real rush of alcohol-consumption and continues smokin’ we kissed the girls “goodnight” and disappeared in the rather big city. It was 5.00 am.

At that point, me and Michel were in a totally-fucked-completely-wasted-condition and we were seriously in need of a place to crash down and catch a few hours of sleep. While walking next to all those boats that were floating on the canals of Amsterdam, we simultaneously came on the idea to lay ourselves down in one of those little boats with a cover-sail over it. Not much later we were settled in a little, rather comfortable polyester boat, and just ‘passed out’ after an Ital containing a mix of Chrystal Haze & Jack Herer. I suppose ‘unconsciousness’ is the word.

Our Boat

I remember myself catchin’ the first daylight into my eyes around 11.30 am, although it didn’t take long to gettin’ back into my ‘hangover coma’.

Barneys Breakfast Bar

Struggling with body parts and severe headaches we made it to Barney’s Breakfast Bar around 2.50 pm. Barney’s kind of made our day because of the great bacon and eggs-menu and a big banana milkshake. Regaining power was a vital factor. Combine this with a little wash-up in the toilet room and a full-loaded Haze spliff after lunch.

LOL, completely wasted (fine Haze!), but already a lot better in our heads than a few hours ago we decided to make our way towards the H.H. to maybe catch up with Vern, although the possibility that he already had left the place was bigger then ……... very big!

Believe it or not, in the condition we were ‘flying’ in, we seemed not to be able to find the street where the H.H. was located in! We just couldn’t ‘link’ all those Amsterdam streets to each other to create ourselves an image of the shape of this city. We walked in squares, triangles and circles. However, due the good weather and the hiiigh condition we were in we had a really good time doing the walking doh. Again: fine Haze!

We badly wanted to try the Lairphone, and we could have done that if we hadn’t lost our map of Amsterdam along with the paper that the Lairphone number was printed on.
We scored some Mexican mushrooms on our way back to the car-parking did our last coffeeshop of our Dam-trip, The Rookies, where we scored some ‘Victory’ 10eur-8/10 and some more Chrystal Haze, 10 euro 9/10! and arrived at the car around 5.20 pm which meant that our car was parked there longer then 24hrs, & we had to pay extra for two more hours. My wallet was empty, but my green bags were filled ! We left the parking as happy people!
I had to drop Michel somewhere in Geleen (Holland) because he had to be there for work on Tuesday. We grabbed a meal on the way, picked up some hitch-hikers from Poland (2 gorgeous girls!) and, obviously, dropped them off where they wanted to be (Maastricht).

I saw the first glimps of the skyline of Antwerp around 11.30 pm.
When home, I went upstairs to check the plants ... and he saw that everything was OK and slept in a bed for a change !

Hashtalavista !
